In terms of books Kalra's Essential Revision Notes for MRCP is excellent for providing a structure and the Oxford Handbook of Clinical Medicine should be big enough as the normal reference text, with something like Kumar and Clark on the bookshelf just in case.
I think doing lots and lots of past questions is the most important form of revision for part 1.
